Hej,

I don't know if it's 240 liters. Apparently, the owner's manual for the Fjord 21 DC is available here on the forum (viewtopic.php?t=1886).
However, a tank capacity of only 100 liters is too small. Did you replace the fuel gauge or the fuel sensor and install the wrong resistance (ohm value)?

Yeah, I tried to open the owner’s manual but i don't have the required permission, even though I am a member.
I have not replaced anything on the boat but maybe the previous owner has.

Re: Fjord 21 DC fuel tank capacity
I think, the fuel sender and gauge may not be compatible. Older boats often have sensors with different ohm ranges. Common examples include: European/VDO: approx. 10–180/190 ohms; American: approx. 240–33 ohms. If the sensor and gauge are not compatible, the gauge will display completely incorrect readings - such as “empty” even though there is still plenty of fuel left.
It’s also possible that the fuel sender is stuck or clogged.
Or the tank may have actually been replaced at some point with a much smaller one. I’ve seen this happen myself: someone removed his large tank (400 liters) and planned to install a two-tank system (2 × 150 liters), which he never actually implemented, and ended up with one 150-liter tank.
Either way, I’d recommend removing the fuel sender and taking a look. There’s a picture of it in the attachment. It should be mounted to the tank (at the top) with five screws.

Thank you for the help! I will have a look at the fuel sender and try to figure out what the problem is.
