My water pump is behaving strangely. When the water is running all is good. But when the tap is closed in the sink, the pump is making a strange sound. Like its trying to pump water.

(The sea-valve is completely open)

I would like to change my plastic tank cap to a version with a lock.

Next question is then where do I check/fill the oil on these

On the red pump, I see a little hole close to the bottom on the left side. That might be it.

On the black pump, I cannot see any area for checking the oil level

Another question. I have these two. I believe they are pumps for the trim.
What kind of maintenance are needed on them?

I am planning to make a new “u-soffa” in my 24 weekender.

For inspiration I would like to see what other people has done.

So if anyone has some good pictures of u-soffa solutions, it would be much appropriated.

I decided to go with Hempel epoxy primer.

I am in the process of changing an old fitting. The plan is to install a new TruDesign skin fitting.
I have used the grinder to remove the old paint.

But I might have removed to much.. I see the glassfiber now.

I assume that I can just install the fitting using silkaflex 591.

But the question is ...

I have an old speedometer sensor not used anymore. I consider using the existing hole for a new through-hull transducer.

It’s located just in front of the engine. Will this location work for a transducer?

I have one of these Blanking Plug on my boat. I consider replacing it with a new transducer.

The question is, how do I remove this blanking plug?
Its really really stuck.

Any idea how to get is loose without braking it

I have 3 fittings in my Fjord 24 that I plan to change this winter. Believe its the originals.

As I understand, its recommended to use a composite or bronze fitting, like this one:
